Cute, warm place with great service and the absolute best pulled pork sandwich I ever tasted! Hand cut fries served hot. Wish this place was back home!
The food is good, portions are enormous at breakfast, and the staff/owners are very friendly. Super clean restroom. It is a little cramped, though, and can therefore be loud.
Nice little cafe with seating inside or outside. Good menu selection of sandwiches, wraps, burger, soups, and salads for lunch. I had the falafel sandwich which was very good. Menus are provided at the cashier/ordering counter. When you have decided what you want, order at the counter, choose your table, and the food is brought out to you. There is also a decent beer selection. Friendly, quick service.
Service is very slow. Came in on Sunday morning with less than half the tables occupied. It took more than 20 mom to get some oatmeal and a couple eggs over easy.
If you like very well prepared, presented, flavorful meals, this is a great place. Had dinner there with my dad last night. The name says it all...everyday American staples prepared skillfully and creatively resulting in a good experience. Service was also top notch. Our waiter, Josh, was not only attentive but an interesting and engaging guy who made our experience even better. We had the surf and turf. Succulent filet and a large, delicious Alaska king crab leg. Sides were gourmet, too...brussel sprouts w vinaigrette reduction and bacon.
